I think I'll be watching Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home tomorrow to destress. Others welcome. In case you know Star Trek but cannot quite remember: it's the one with the whales. And if you don't know Star Trek, perhaps that's enough to get you curious. It's wonderful. It's hilarious.

Focus on exams have made the recent time pass more quickly. It has been far more pleasant a time recently, even with Salem's loss in quidditch. The games themselves definitely feel different than the usual quidditch competition between houses. The lack of supporters for the foreign teams does, I believe, disadvantage them against Hogwarts. And Salem's had a great deal of misfortune, some avoidable, some less so.

I feel we girls have been scattered more than usual this year. Perhaps it is tied in to the fact that four of the five of us are now dating, though Penny and Tanner is a relatively recent development. And Royalle of course is Royalle. I would be amazed if she actually ended up dating someone. But we're still all here for each other, in the ways we usually have been. It's like we're changing and staying the same in a way that's difficult to express.

Ryu and I are doing well. We're doing much better. It is my hope that all of the issues we've dealt with and are dealing with will make our relationship deeper. It isn't until something's been tested that its character is truly known. Thankfully mum hasn't asked any questions over the last few months, not prying ones anyway, simple mum stuff.

I realize that this may be an odd request, but I was wondering if you could charm a book for me that would attack me. I don't want it to attack anyone else - just me. It would only attack me if my behavior has been changed, beyond reasonable expectation. To use a recent example, if I were under the influence of a love potion, it would attack me. Quite frankly, should something be able to take over my free will, I don't want to be able to do whatever the bloody hell it wants me to.

I'm trying to learn detection charms and other spells that could help me avoid getting to that state, but I don't ever want a week like this one again. And I would really appreciate your expertise on it.

I don't even know what Ryu wants right now. He was under the influence of a love potion, and he sent a letter apologizing and acknowledging that he'd hurt me and that hadn't gone away. And he included my Valentine's Day gift. But then in the next letter, he wrote, "I certainly don't deserve to be in a relationship when I've behaved so terribly." And I don't understand - does he want to be with me or not? If he does, then it's my decision to make if he's ... behaved too terribly for us to be together. And if he doesn't, then why is he even giving me a gift? It doesn't make anything better to say, "I'm sorry, I was on a love potion, but now I'm dumping you - for real this time - because I behaved so terribly."

I just keep going in circles in my mind, and I cannot keep it to myself without going crazy. I don't even know if I'm in a relationship with him or not. I feel like I'm going crazy.

Willow loves him. Not as a friend. I cannot think about them, about what they might have done. I cannot. But she loves him. And I love him. What he wrote seems to imply he doesn't love her as more than a friend. It was the love potion. I have faith in that. I trust it. And in this regard, I do trust him. If I didn't - if I couldn't - I couldn't be with him. But I do. I trust his actions weren't by choice. It doesn't change how much it hurts - how much could it? I secretly hoped for it all week, that it was just a love potion, that he was like Lisa except no one helped him, no one stopped him. Of course Willow's his best friend, and it was what she wanted. But the rest of Salem...That's not the point.

What's done is done. What matters is what happens now. But what happens now? I don't know. Mum and Dad went through something like this. There actually was another bloke, mum said. But they weren't...officially together. That's different. But they got through it. I doubt "we weren't officially exclusive" made it hurt any less for Dad. And they have the best relationship, the absolute best now. They've had a long time, but they made it through the hard times. That's what love is about. If it were always easy, it wouldn't be love.

I've told him I want our relationship, to work at our relationship and still have one. But he hasn't responded. How long do I wait? I didn't ask him, but if he doesn't, he should tell me. He should have the decency to tell me. Should I ask him explicitly?

It's just so complicated. No, it's not complicated. It's just hard. And I don't know what he wants.

Okay, so Willow, Scor, and Callum, you should know you have been drafted as members of Star Fleet, specifically as crew of the USS Enterprise, from The Original Series (or the reboot if you prefer that). Ahoy maties! Or rather, I suppose I should keep this as emotionless as possible, as I am Mr. Spock and thus half-Vulcan. We are missing several members of our crew, including our chief medical officer, chief engineer, communications officer, and navigator.

I would like to nominate Scorpius Malfoy as Leonard "Bones" McCoy. He can be a crotchey old man, but you have to love him. And I would like to also nominate Callum MacDougal for Ensign Chekhov. With Durmstrang students around, he may not be the obvious choice, but Chekhov was very young, inexperienced, intelligent, and honestly, you could tell him what to do. As a flaw, Callum is remarkably less obsessed with snogging the ladies than Chekhov, but I chalk that up to being so young.

Do you have any suggestions? And captain, who have you seduced this week?

Also, I wonder if anyone has shipped Spock/Sulu before. I know people have made jokes about Sulu because of George Takei's sexuality.

Who here is a Star Trek fan? And if you don't know what I'm talking about, we need to watch Wrath of Khan.

I am excited about this cooking exercise. Snitch, August, Quinn, Dani...I don't know if any of you can cook, but I can! Admittedly I know almost nothing about Belarus, but if we can find good recipes, the house elves can get the ingredients, and I can be the hands in the kitchen.

Three essays written today, as well as two letters. I am feeling quite productive. And I am looking forward to the upcoming Salem v. Hogwarts match. I am sure both teams will do their best.

Flint really needs to go insane somewhere else. At least he hasn't stalked the library.

But that is hardly a point at all to make. Sunday...I planned it for weeks. I found the room again, I got it ready with a lot of charm work, which I checked today to make sure it was all gone. I didn't want to leave a trace, and that is a bit more elaborate of a prep work than I usually do for a place to sneak off to. But the planning was completely worth it, even if it distracted me occasionally during Astronomy. It could not have gone better, not at all.

Ryu...is a teenage boy, and I knew what a bed could imply. Sex. Intercourse. And he admitted to thinking that at first, but that was only at first. And I can hardly hold it against him that his mind went there. Of course, if he were expecting sex, I do not see why oral sex was so surprising. We had only made out before that, and...snogging to shagging without any steps? It was a step forward, a good step forward, but it wasn't about- it wasn't all about the way that had been way too long since being intimate with someone. But I had to be sure. And I was ready for it. We were ready for it. And he didn't push for more. He reciprocated.

I've sent a letter to mum. She'll understand. And like before, she won't tell dad. He might lose his head if he knew. I'm not certain. It's not a subject I have broached with him before. And mum doesn't hear any details herself. She trusts me, and she's made that clear.

Only a month.

I am fairly certain the other girls are smart enough, loopy at the time or not, to figure out that Ryu and I went off to be alone. Lisa asked some questions along the line, but I did make it back to the room quite early. They were still at the after party. I hope Essie went to that. She'll get more than enough of her fill of gossip from that. Ryu and I don't need to be on the front pages of that sort of ... 'magazine.'

It's late, I have Astronomy, and I'm not going to be able to do a single thing tonight. I've been in the library all day, with an exception for lunch, and I read three whole pages of poetry before realizing it wasn't an extra Astronomy textbook. It did mention planets and stars, to my credit.

I actually didn't notice Chase and Clover kissing or snogging or whatever else they did. I saw them there together, as I did at the last party. And if he's...if they're happy together, then fine. I'm happy for them. I don't get why she would. I couldn't. But maybe he didn't treat her horribly. He better not have. And I've moved on. I really have.

I like Ryu, and nothing with Chase is affecting whatever happens there. It's not a competition to move on. It's been months, and I don't need to have a bloke to move on from him. There were some fun flirtations this summer with muggle boys and a love affair with ice cream. Ryu isn't a rebound anything. He's an amazing amazing bloke. And whatever happens is because of that.

He's on the Salem team, and he is gorgeous. And he is such a great guy from what I can tell over the journals. He's arriving early on our side of the pond, and I'm going to show him around London! That, and he asked me to be his date to Penny's party! It's brill! And I'm pretty sure Chase will be there, and he's been quite rude over the journals actually, like he has any right to an opinion about what I do. It will be great to show him how much I've moved on.

I absolutely LOVE the photos of everyone, and I'd love to have copies of them, if you have them. I'm putting together a scrapbook of Hogwarts, and I may as well get started on this coming year!

I am so ready for the school year to start. Admittedly we are picking up Multicultural Relations every Tuesday and Thursday, but there’s no more History of Magic or Herbology for me. I purchased my books and supplies before the rush, so none of the books are damaged in any way. I considered picking up a few others to supplement, but given I can research in the library Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, I don’t think I will have much competition for my books.
